 Passport must have minimum 6 months validity at the time of applying for an Entry
Permit.
 All photographs are to be recent color photographs. (Polaroid Photographs are not
accepted)
 Those who are already in the U.A.E cannot get another entry permit until he/she
departs from U.A.E.
 All visas are to be obtained prior to the entry of the Passenger into the UAE except in
the case of a GCC country visa holders (certain designations only) and Nationality
holders of British, France, Italy, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg,
Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Finland,
Malta, Monaco, Iceland, Andorra, San Marino, Estonia, U.S.A, Canada, Australia,
New Zealand, Japan, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, South Korea, Spain
 Working hours is from 8 am to 2 pm. Saturday to Wednesday except public holidays.
Thursdays and Fridays are normal weekend holidays.

Visit Visa

 Forward Passport copy to the sponsor
 Visa will be normally ready within 7 days
 Validity is only 60 days
 Duration of stay after entry is 60 days. It can be renewed for an additional 30 days
extension. The application for renewal should be submitted to the immigration before the
expiry of the first 60 days.
 Only single entry is allowed. Once the person departs from UAE the visa will be
automatically cancelled.

Visit Visa Renewal
Renewal by the Issuing Authority only
The following documents are to be submitted to the immigration.
 Original Passport
 Original visa
 Required renewal form signed by the sponsor
 Visa will be normally renewed within 2 days and Passport can be collected from
Administration
 Extended validity is only 30 days.
 Duration of total stay after entry in to UAE is 90 days only including the extended period

Tourist Visa

 This is applicable only for certain Nationals
 Forward Passport copy to the sponsor
 Visa will be normally ready within 2days
 Validity is one month from date of issue
 Duration of stay after entry is 30 days only, not renewable
 Only one entry is allowed. Once the person depart from UAE, the visa will be cancelled
automatically

96 Hours Visa

 An onward journey passenger can break journey and stay in the UAE for a maximum
duration of 96 Hours, if sponsored by the airline.
 The Procedures/Rules/Charges are subject to change without prior notice

Admission and transit restrictions
VISA Warning:
 Non-compliance with the entry/transit regulations may result in a fine of AED 500/=, in
combination with a fine of AED 100/- per passenger per day, until the passengers
departure from Sharjah International Airport and proof of this action has been passed to
the Department of Civil Aviation.

Employment Visa (Entry Permit)
Forward the following to the sponsor

Normally the Entry Permit will be ready within 7 days.
The entry permit is valid for two months

Cancellation of an employment entry permit

Cancellation can be done through the issuing Authority only.
The following documents are to be submitted to the Immigration Authority

Cancelled Passport can be collected from Immigration the next day

Visa stamping in the passport

 All should obtain medical card prior to stamping visa in the Passport.
 Medical card can be obtained from the Ministry of Health office.
 Passport copy, 3 photographs and Dhs. 300/- required.
(1)   Passport photocopy,
(2)   photocopy of the entry permit,
(3)   4 photographs are to be submitted to the Medical Authorities for the medical test
 For government department's medical tests will be normally done only in the
afternoons from 4 to 6 hr.
 The certificate will be ready after 3 days.
The following documents are to be submitted to the Immigration Authorities within
28 days after entering the UAE.
 Original Passport
 Original Entry Permit
 Original medical certificate
 2-Passport size photographs
 Dhs. 302/-(residence visa fee)
 Duly filled in security form (only in Arabic)
 Residence visa forms duly signed and sealed by the sponsor
Normally the Residence visa will be stamped in the Passport within 10 days valid for 3
years

Husband has to sponsor himself and a company cannot sponsor dependent.
Requirement
Marriage certificate/birth certificate for children
Education certificate
These documents are to be attested by the concerned Consulate
Thereafter obtain attestation from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs Salary Certificate from the
sponsor.
Purchase an immigration file and type all the necessary information in it.
Type all the necessary visa forms and attach
 Passport copy of the person/s for whom the visa is being requested
 2 Photographs each

 Salary certificate

Transfer of Visa from one company to another company
Transfer of visa is possible only to Government sector
Transfer form is available in typing center.
If the Labor department is involved type the labor department required form also.
Obtain the signature of the present sponsor on it.
Submit the original documents and Passport to the new sponsor for signature and seal.
Approach the present sponsor and get the visa cancelled with out the ban.

Cancellation of a residence visa
Only the issuing authority can cancel the visa.
The following documents are to be submitted to the Immigration.
 Original Passport
 Necessary forms signed by the sponsor
The visa-cancelled Passport can be collected after one day.
Duration of permitted stay in the UAE after cancellation will be written in the cancellation form.
This form has to be returned to the sponsor after departure from UAE.
If this person has his/her family members in his/her sponsorship, then their visas are to be
cancelled prior to he/she canceling his/her visa

GCC country residence visa holders
Certain category of visa holders of GCC Countries can enter the UAE and the visa will be issued
up on their arrival. Prior approval is not required

Visa Regulations for Visitors to Sharjah

General Information
Citizens of Arab Gulf Co-operation Council (AGCC) member states do not require visas to enter the UAE
AGCC expatriate residents who meet the requirements can obtain a non-renewable 30-day visa upon arrival at the approved ports of entry.
Citizens of UK , France, Italy, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Luxemburg, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Ireland,
Greece, Cyprus, Finland, Malta, Spain, Monaco, Vatican City, Iceland, Andorra, San Marino, Liechtenstein, USA, Canada, Australia, New
Zealand, Japan, Brunei, Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong and UK Overseas Passport holders born in China or Hong Kong are
granted a visit visa on arrival in the UAE.
The visa is valid for 60 days and may be renewed once for a period of 30 days only. There is no cost for the visa on entry and renewal costs of
Dh 500.
Nationals of "Israel" may not enter the U. A. E.
Holders of Hong Kong Certificate of identification will not be granted any type of visa to enter the UAE.
Entry Service Permit
All nationalities who require a sponsor to enter the UAE, airlines should seek confirmation that the sponsor holds a valid visa for the incoming
visitor.
This permit applies to businessmen and tourists and requires the sponsorship of companies or hotels licensed to operate within the UAE.
The visa is valid for use within 14 days from the date of issue.
The duration of stay is 14 days from date of entry, exclusive of arrival and departure days. It is non-renewable. The Entry Service Permit
holder may enter and depart UAE through any airport.
Requirements: The sponsor will require the following:
1. Visitor's date of arrival,
2. Flight details,
3. A photocopy of the first few pages of the visitor's passport, with
validity of at least three months.
A fee of Dh 120 is charged for obtaining Entry Service Permit. (A fee of Dh10 is charged for delivery of visa).
Hotels, hotel apartments, tour operators, travel agents and airlines may not levy supplementary charges or processing fees in excess of Dh 50
for arranging visas for visitors.
Visit Visas
The Visit Visa applies to tourists who wish to spend over 14 days in the UAE those coming for family visits as well as those on long-term
business visits.
Obtaining a Visit Visa requires the sponsorship of any UAE resident or any company or hotel licensed to operate within the UAE.
This visa is valid for entry within two months from its date of issue.
The Visit Visa is valid for 60 days and is renewable for a total stay of up to 90 days. A fee of Dh 500 is charged for this renewal. A Visit Visa
further entitles its holder to change his status to that of residence or employment provided certain conditions are met.
In order to complete the application, the sponsor will require the visitor's date of arrival, arrival details, and a photocopy of the first few pages
of the visitor's passport, which should be valid for at least three months. There is a fee of Dh 100 for obtaining a visit visa. There is also a fee
of Dh 10 for visa delivery service by DNATA. Hotels, hotel apartments, tour operators, travel agents and airlines may not levy supplementary
charges or processing fees in excess of Dh 50 for arranging visa for visitors.
The Visit Visa holder may enter and leave the country through any port of entry in the UAE.

Tourist Visas
A special category of visas under the Visit Visa type is a Tourist Visa, which can be obtained for individual tourists from East and West
Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, Hong Kong citizens, South Africa, Singapore and China.
The Tourist Visa entitles its holders to a 30-day stay. This visa is non-renewable. The Tourist Visa requires the sponsorship of hotels and tour
operators who bring in visitors from the above listed countries. The fee is Dh 100.
Multiple-Entry Visas
Multiple-entry Visas are granted to business visitors who have a relationship with either a multinational or other reputable local
establishments, and who are frequent visitors to the UAE. This type of visa is valid for six months from the date of issue and the duration of
each stay is 30days. The validity is non-renewable. The cost of this visa is Dh 1,000. The visitor must enter the UAE first on a visit visa and
obtain the multiple entry visas while in the country. The visa will be stamped in the passport.
German Citizens
German citizen (tourism and business people) may apply to the UAE embassy in Germany for one or two year multiple-entry visa. No sponsor
is required. The maximum duration of stay of visa holders should not exceed three months a year. The visa fee is Dh 1,500.
US Citizens
US citizens (tourists and business people) may apply to the UAE embassies in the US for one to ten year multiple-entry visa. A sponsor is
required and the visa will be granted free of charge. The maximum duration of stay should not exceed six months a visit.
Transit Visas
This is a special type of visa, which applies to passengers passing through UAE airports. The passenger can obtain a visa for up to 96 hours.
The travel document will be stamped with an entry seal. The visa in only valid if the passenger is traveling onwards from The UAE to another
destination and not returning to the country of original departure. There is no fee for this type of visa, which can be sponsored by any airline
operating in the UAE.
A fine of Dh 100 per day is imposed on those visitors who overstay.

Visa Information

Health requirements
No health certificates are required for entry to Abu Dhabi or UAE, but it is always wise to
check before departure, as health restrictions may vary depending upon the situation at
the time.
All passengers require entry visas to be processed prior to their arrival in the United
Arab Emirates. The only exceptions are nationals of The Gulf Co-operation Council
States & the countries listed below.
All visas are valid for SINGLE ENTRY only and we are not in a position to apply for
MULTIPLE ENTRY visas. Hence if a client leaves the UAE (by Air/Sea/Land) with the
intention of returning to the UAE, a new visa will need to be processed. As this can only
be done after the clients’ departure from the UAE, charges applicable will be based on
number of working days available between departure and the second arrival of the client
into UAE.
Visa on Arrival Facility – Only Applicable to Nationals of the Countries Listed Below
Western European Countries: United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, Holland,
Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Portugal,

Ireland, Greece, Finland, Spain, Monaco, Vatican City, Iceland, Andorra, San Marino,
Liechtenstein.
North America: USA, Canada
Pacific Rim: Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Brunei, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia,
South Korea.
Full Passports
All passengers travelling to the United Arab Emirates must be in possession of a valid
passport against which a visa should have been processed in advance. The passports
must be valid for at least 03 months from the date of entry into the United Arab Emirates.
Children Endorsed on Parent/s Passports
This will only be permitted for children up to a maximum of 12 years of age. Children
above this age are expected to have their OWN passports against which visa/s will be
issued.
Travel Documents & Identification Certificates
Travel Documents & Identification Certificates are not recognised as valid Passports by
Immigration and hence clients travelling on such documents will not be permitted to
enter the United Arab Emirates. Visas if issued against such documents are considered
null/void and the visa charges are non-refundable. The only exception to the above rule
is Hong Kong Chinese nationals holding 44 pages Identity Certificates, which are
accepted by Immigration Authorities.
British Overseas Passport Holders
All passengers who are in possession of British Overseas Passports are not exempted
from the requirement of visas to enter the United Arab Emirates. Such passengers are
treated as Non UK Nationals and hence need to have visas processed on their behalf
prior to arrival in the United Arab Emirates, as is the case for all other nationalities.
Granting of Visas
All visas applied for are subject to the approval of the Immigration Authorities and may
be refused without any reasons given. Should an approved but unutilised visa already
exist against an applicant’s name, a new visa request will be rejected. In such cases, the
previous visa will need to be cancelled through the source, before applying for a new
visa.
Visas for nationals holding passports of Iraq, Israel, Palestine, Sudan and Yemen may
be checked with us prior to forwarding application forms.
Visa Application Charges – Non Refundable
All visa charges have to be paid at the time of application and are non-refundable
without exception. This means that if a visa is not granted by the Immigration Authorities
the visa charges will not be refunded or adjusted.
Corrections of Visa Details
Once a visa is submitted or processed, any correction is considered as a new Visa
Application and all charges are levied accordingly.
THE IMMIGRATION DEPT. IS CLOSED ON PUBLIC HOLIDAYS AND THURSDAY &
FRIDAY EACH WEEK
 The passport must be valid for a period of 03 months from the date of arrival in the
UAE.

visas which are listed below.
1- 96 hour visa:

2- Visit visa:
2.1 In case of Personal sponsorship

of wife sponsorship, and Dhs. 6000 in case of first relatives sponsorship.
